Seminar Workshop
Cali, Colombia | May 15–16, 2025
Presented by Cámara de Empresarios Afro & e-LEADS – Emerging Leadership & Diplomacy
Strengthening Global Networks | Advancing Inclusive Growth | Empowering Afrodescendant Innovation
Afrodescendant populations in Colombia have historically been concentrated along the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Despite their contributions to national culture and commerce, these communities face structural inequities in access to infrastructure, education, healthcare, and capital. These challenges are particularly acute in departments such as Chocó, Valle del Cauca, and Nariño, where economic mobility has long been constrained.
To address these disparities and unlock untapped economic potential, the Afro Business Chamber was founded in 2023 as a vehicle for enterprise-led development across Western and Northern Colombia. Since its launch, the Chamber has convened a series of strategic engagements—locally in Cali and Bogotá, regionally in Chocó, and internationally in Atlanta, GA—to foster transnational business relationships and scale high-impact entrepreneurship.
In 2025, the Chamber will host its most ambitious convening to date:
- Strengthen the structural and organizational capacity of Afro-Colombian entrepreneurs
- Promote scalable private sector development and regional economic integration
- Facilitate cross-border partnerships with African-American business leaders
- Advance commercial diplomacy and investment in emerging industries
- Provide policy-relevant insights for inclusive growth and public-private engagement
The 1st International Business Seminar for Afro Entrepreneurs, an executive-level forum designed to accelerate cross-border collaboration and elevate Afrodescendant innovation throughout the Americas.
